Google.com gets top slot in the Alexa ranking

Google tops the alexa chart after beating yahoo who was on #1 for quite a long time.
There are three google web services in the top 10.In this post I've given list of the top 10 websites along with some other websites in top 100.
1.Google.com
Enables users to search the Web, Usenet, and images. Features include PageRank, caching and translation of results, and an option to find similar pages. The company's focus is developing search technology.
2.Yahoo.com
Personalized content and search options. Chatrooms, free e-mail, clubs, and pager.
3.Youtube.com
YouTube is a way to get your videos to the people who matter to you. Upload, tag and share your videos worldwide!
4.Live.com
Search engine from Microsoft.
5.Facebook.com
A social utility that connects people, to keep up with friends, upload photos, share links and videos.
6.Msn.com
Dialup access and content provider.
7.Wikipedia.org
An online collaborative encyclopedia.
8.Blogger.com
Free, automated weblog publishing tool that sends updates to a site via FTP.
9.Myspace.com
Social Networking Site.
10.Yahoo.co.jp
Content and pay. Published in the form of Web services API.

The reliability and credibility of the Alexa Rankings have often been subject to differences. There are opinions that the Alexa ranking is far more credible and true for the sites below 10,0000 than that for the ones above it. Another factor that proves to be a major drawback of the Alexa rankings is that the rankings are governed by the Alexa toolbar and the Alexa toolbar users community. All the browser types are not taken into account as far as the rankings are concerned. As for example the Alexa rankings does not work in Windows Vista even though the latter has a huge user base and is highly popular.
